Evaluate is a simple yet highly supportive and effective way of evaluating performance at certain periods throughout the year; for both a manager and an employee. In this article, we will walk you through how to discuss Evaluate and complete the process. 



Booking a Session to Discuss Evaluate


Once both the employee and manager written reviews have been submitted, you will then need to book in a session with to discuss the review. 


Simply set-up a meeting invite in your calendar with you and your manager (or as a manager, you can invite your employee) and also add calendar@openblend.com as a participant to the invite. 

 

  

Discussing Evaluate


 

Once you are ready for your session to discuss your Evaluate, the manager will need to click the " Start 1:1 Session button on the OpenBlend homepage.

 

The manager can either start a pre-booked session with the employee or an unbooked session with the employee using the Begin Session options, as shown in the screenshot below. The manager should share their screen with the employee.

  

Accessing Evaluate in a Session

Evaluate can be accessed with one of two ways from within a session, as demonstrated in the screenshot below. 

  1. Using the Evaluate Agenda Items / Talking Points 
  2. Using the Evaluate item in the left-hand navigation

 

 

Using the OpenBlend discuss journey, go through each question of the review. Notes can be made in the "Additional Comments" section below the questions and you can add any Actions discussed. 


Once you have finished the discussion, click on the "Mark discussed" button, highlighted in green in the screenshot below.  


Please note, that the employee will not be able to see the manager comments in thier profile until the manager has clicked the "Mark Discussed" button.
