Actions are the stepping stones to success.
Actions make it easier for you to stay motivated and monitor progress towards your goals.
Overview
Actions can be created at any time by clicking on the Add Action button displayed in the top-right corner of the platform. You are able to create specific Actions that can be linked to different parts of the platform, this ensures there is clear accountability for all activities and helps support valuable conversations when in a session.
Actions are where great thinking, turns into meaningful impact.
Creating specific Actions will help you:
- Create clarity on timeframes of when they need to happen
- Being able to track all efforts and inputs you make (Developing a growth mindset is all about our inputs!)
- Set deadlines to ensure your goals are achieved
Adding Actions
Navigate to My Profile and you will find Your Actions in your navigation menu. You can also add an Action at anytime via the button located in the top-right corner of your profile. You will then see the below page to input your Action, including linking this to an area of the platform a short summary of the Action and now a due date.
Adding a due date to Actions will enable you to:
- Prioritise your actions
- Plan more effectively
- Prepare for one to ones and be more productive
Linking your Actions to a specific area will encourage you to see the big picture and complete your activities. These areas are populated within the platform, such as an Objective or Blend element.
Once you click save action the following notification appears at the top of your screen.
You can adjust the status to the following Open, Ongoing and Completed. This will help you track and achieve your Actions.
Actions can be viewed, edited and deleted by clicking on the pencil icon. You will see the following page to make these changes when required.
When Actions are created an automated email is sent to you detailing your outstanding Actions, an email is also sent 48 hours before your session to remind you of your Actions and to ensure these are discussed when in session.
Your Team Actions
Note: Outside of a session, to view team member's Actions: Go to Team Dashboard > employee's Profile > Actions
You can view your Team's Actions via each team member by clicking on the view and update Actions widget. When in a session you have the opportunity to discuss any outstanding Actions and make any required edits or updates to track your team's progress.
You can also add further Actions when working on the Way Forward step of the GROW model (used on Blend and Objectives features), to help you (or your manager) to move closer to the goal.
You also have the opportunity to view your teams Actions prior to a session to ensure you're prepared for the meeting.
Make sure to always click Begin session to get access to additional features and ensure the session is logged.
