Blend Feature Updates

Note: Our unique Blend tool supports managers to understand what really drives their employees and celebrates that one size doesn’t fit all.

OpenBlend are delighted to share our new Blend Wheel.

Blend Elements will now be called Blend Drivers

Please navigate to Blend from your left-hand navigation menu. You will now see the following three new tabs:

  • Current Blend Drivers
  • Blend Progress
  • NEW! Change Blend Drivers

You also now have the opportunity to customise your selection number of Blend Drivers. This can now be updated to having between 4 and 8 Blend Drivers that are chosen during your registration period.

Organisations have the opportunity to customise the behaviour around registration, this includes:

  • The timing of when users pick their Blend Drivers
  • If you have Blend introduced during Registration

Our new Blend Wheel design, include new labels and information detailing your current and target scores, an edit function to update your definitions and and any changes you make to your Drivers.

You will also see new Blend change/update indicator labels that present any changes in scores.

Definition can also be updated from the view/edit modal

The 'Replace Elements' page is now our new Change Blend Drivers page, giving you the opportunity to select and deselect Blend Drivers via new toggles.

Blend Drivers are now presented in list form via the new Change Blend Drivers page.

We also have a new updated Blend Driver modal. You will have the opportunity to:

  • Change Driver
  • Update your Driver definition
  • Add your Driver to your Talking Points
  • Update your drivers current and target score
  • Create Actions associated to your Driver

Last but not least... The target reached modal now has new behaviour.

When you now reach your target score, you have the opportunity to dismiss the modal but keep the Driver

You are no longer asked if you would like to replace the selected Driver on every visit to the Blend Wheel.

OpenBlend Notes Improvements

Available in your Demo environment from Thursday 25th November!

Our Notes feature in OpenBlend has received some exciting new updates including new and improved functionality.

These improvements include:

  • New! Activity Feed sidebar menu item
    • Notes made both inside a session and outside a session will be stored here
    • Session activity will also be recorded here, with information such as when and with whom a session occurred and any talking points, that were discussed.

  • You will now see an "Add New" button in various places in OpenBlend, which provides the ability to:
    • Add To-Do / Add Action
    • Add Note
    • Add Objective

  • When you create a new Note, a moveable, re-sizeable pop-up window will appear.

  • The content of the Note is auto-saved and the Note history is saved. However, only the final update made on each day, is displayed in the feed.

What does this mean for you?

In an OpenBlend Session

When in a session, only one note is allowed to be created between the two session participants. These will be marked as "Session Notes" in the activity feed and will not be editable, once the session has ended.

As Talent

All notes that are created will be saved in the Activity Feed. From the Activity feed you are then able to edit your note at any time. Please note, that only the latest version of the note for that day will be displayed.

As a Leader

Outside of a session with your employees, you can select the recipient of the Note, that you are creating, from the dropdown list in the "Add New" menu.

A leader can create a Note for themselves, or any of their direct team.

Any Notes made on behalf of a leader's direct report, will be saved in their Activity Feed, and will not be available in the leader’s Activity Feed.

A Leader can access the Activity Feed of any of their talents, via the "My Team" section of OpenBlend.

As an Admin

The notes functionality is not available within the Admin section of OpenBlend.
