Overview
The next version of OpenBlend will go live on 3rd February. It will first go live in Demo on Monday 31st January, so you'll have a chance to see the changes.
Admin Enhancements
User Welcome Emails
- Changes have been made to enable company Admins to better manage when new users at their company receive their OpenBlend login email.
- The options are:
- Send after manager completes training
When a manager is assigned to a training session, they will be sent the training session details along with their log-in details. Then 48 hours after the manager's training date has passed, the employee welcome email will be sent out automatically. - Send immediately when users are created in OpenBlend
The welcome email will be sent out automatically, as soon as the user is created. - Only send manually
No emails will be automatically sent by OpenBlend, and Welcome emails will need to be triggered manually once new users are created.

Other Admin updates
- Company Admins now also have more detailed information about their users' login status under User Information
- Job Functions and Office Locations can now optionally be renamed, for example "Department" instead of "Job Function"
Other Changes
Improvements
- Objectives have a new way of being measured; they can now be set as being either Complete or not
- The session notifications users receive ahead of a session will have new options depending on whether Talking Points are enabled and have been added for the session
- Other minor improvements
Fixes
- The database has been improved to make the app more snappy
- The request demo details button is fixed
- Linking and unlinking objectives is now recorded in progress history
- If a leader closes or updates the progress on one of their talent's objectives, the correct user who made the changes is now shown
- Talent won't appear in an evaluate cycle multiple times if they've had a change in leader
