Has a manager or employee come to you to ask if you can un-submit their evaluation or to let you know they had the discussion without clicking the "Mark Discussed" button? As an Admin, you are able to amend the status of a manager's evaluation, or an employee's self-evaluation. This article will guide you through the steps on how to amend an evaluation status.
Update a Manager or Employee Evaluation Status
The permissions you have as an Admin
Admins can push manager evaluations and employee self-evaluations to different statuses, including:
- Submit an Evaluation in "Draft" status on behalf of a manager or employee
- Un-submit a previously submitted Evaluation on behalf of a manager or employee
- Force an Evaluation in "Ready to Discuss" status to "Completed" on behalf of a manager or employee, making it available on the employee's profile.
How to update an evaluation status
- Navigate to the Progress Summary for your Evaluate cycle
Admin > Evaluate Cycles > Click on the three dots next to the cycle > View Progress Summary - Identify the type of Evaluation you are looking to change
Is it an employee self-evaluation or a manager evaluation? - Click the "Manually change status..." button under the relevant section
- Select the action you would like to make
- Select the employee or manager that you would like to apply the change for
At this stage, you can select multiple if you wish.
For any evaluations you are submitting on behalf of an employee or manager, the system will highlight if there are any unanswered questions. - Click "Apply Changes" button
Please note, once the manager evaluation is in 'Completed' status, you are unable to change the status of that Evaluate cycle submission.
