Manager Burnout: Supporting our leaders with wellbeing and mental health
Every business has had to adapt to new ways of working over the last few years, and they have relied on managers to make this happen.
Throughout the pandemic, managers not only continued to drive business results, but they were instrumental in ensuring workforces felt supported, motivated, and able to perform at their best.
But these new expectations on managers have resulted in increased workloads, hours, and stress. In fact, Gallup found that the average manager's workweek is half a day longer than the average individual contributors, and 4 in 10 strongly agreed that they had multiple competing priorities at any one time.
Following World Mental Health Day, Anna Rasmussen sat down with Derek Hill, Founder of Waking Waves, to discuss the importance of supporting our managers, and share some practical techniques to help managers navigate the new challenges and experiences they’re facing today.
