Evaluate is a simple yet highly supportive and effective way of evaluating performance at certain periods throughout the year; for both a manager and an employee. In this article, we will walk you through how to complete your Self-Evaluation.
Accessing Evaluate
When an Evaluate Cycle is started, you will receive the following email from OpenBlend, alerting you that you have a Self-Evaluation to complete.
You can use the "Sign in to OpenBlend" link to access the Evaluation you need to complete. This link will take you straight into your Evaluate Self-Evaluation page.
Accessing Evaluate from your OpenBlend "My Profile"
Once you have logged in to OpenBlend, simply click on the "My Profile" button on the homescreen. Then click on "Evaluate" in the left-hand side navigation bar.
Once you are in Evaluate, you can then click to "Start" to access your Self-Evaluation questions.
NOTE: If you cannot see the Evaluate menu item on the left hand navigation bar, this will be due to the cycle not being made applicable to you. If you believe you should have access to this, please contact your HR Team.
Completing your Self-Evaluation
Simply complete each question in the review form.
Evaluate questions are structured with either comments only or comments and a drop-down selection. You are also provided with some “Reflection tips” to help you with your self-evaluation.
During this process you can use the "Save as draft" button to come back to your review and complete it at a later date.
PLEASE NOTE: Evaluate does not auto-save, so it is important that you use this button before navigating away from your Self-Evaluation screen.
Once you have completed your Self-Evaluation, click the "Send to manager" button and this will then finalise your review and notify your manager that you have completed your Self-Evaluation.
What Happens Next?
Once you submit your review your manager will then be able to review this before adding their manager review comments.
Your manager will then complete their manager evaluation comments and book in a session to discuss the review with you.
Please note, that you will not be able to see your manager's comments in your profile until they have had a session with you and clicked the "Mark Discussed" button. Once this has happened, you will be able to review your manager's comments within your profile.
Discussing Evaluate: Please note, that your manager must be the one to start the session in OpenBlend and you will only be able to see your manager's comments, once your manager has clicked "Mark Discussed" in the session. If this does not happen, you will only be able to see your own comments.
