This next release focuses on enhancements to booking 1:1s in OpenBlend, as part of our wider project of making 1:1s easier.

NEW! Booking Flow Workflow

The new booking workflow in OpenBlend can be accessed by your managers and talent in the same way they would access it now:  

  • Create new 1:1 booking  
  • Edit existing 1:1 booking 


Book 1:1 in the calendar  



When booking a new 1:1 in OpenBlend, you will see a window pop up on the right-hand side of the screen. At the very top, you will see an option to copy a link that can be copied into your calendar.   


Selecting who to have a 1:1 with   



 

For your talent, this will automatically be populated with their manager.  

For your managers, this will automatically show the talent for which the flow was accessed. The manager can change this by selecting the ‘change’ button. They will then be able to see a list of all available team members to book a 1:1 with, in alphabetical order.  

Selecting a cadence for the 1:1s  



 

Whomever is booking the 1:1, whether that be your talent or a manager, they can set the cadence of 1:1 meetings. The options available to them are:  

  • Fortnightly 1:1 
  • Monthly 1:1 – this can be defined for every 1/2/3/4 month etc.  
  • Quarterly 1:1 
  • Custom Frequency  
  • One-off  


Select when the 1:1 meeting (series or one-off) should start  



 

After selecting the cadence, and then selecting next, the individual booking the meeting will be taken to step 2 of 2 which will allow them to set when the meeting should start. They will be presented with a date and time picker.  



 

Optionally, the individual booking can select when the meetings series should end. By default, this will be 1 year after the start date. They can then select complete booking to confirm the updates and make them visible themselves, and either their talent or their manager.  


Edit an existing 1:1  

Editing an existing 1:1 will automatically take the user to Step 2 of 2 (as seen in the screenshot above) where they can edit their existing booking.  


Settings 

As part of the new booking flow within OpenBlend, there are two new settings available in Master Admin. Please speak to your Customer Success Manager if you would like to change either of these two settings for your organisation.  


 


1. Quarterly cadence 

There is now a setting to either enable or disable the option of ‘Quarterly 1:1s’ for your organisation. If enabled, this will show as an option in the cadence list when anyone is booking a 1:1.  


2. Recommended Cadence Pill 

You can also decide which of the cadence options will have the ‘Recommended’ pill next to it. By default, OpenBlend will have this set to ‘Monthly’, but this can also be changed to best suit your organisation.
