How often should I have 1:1s with my manager?
Your company may have set out a frequency expectation when they launched OpenBlend. Check with them first, if you're unsure.
The tool has been developed to flexibly suit your needs. Our users are benefiting from weekly and monthly 1:1s, but we'd recommend having 1:1s with your manager at least once a quarter.
What should I cover during 1:1s?
Both you and your manager should have a think about areas you want to cover ahead of each 1:1. That way you're both clear on your talking points for the 1:1.
You can cover a specific area like a Motivator or your overall Wellbeing or arrange a 1:1 targeted at Objective-setting or Action-planning. Concentrate on the areas that are most valuable to you at the time. Getting what you need from the 1:1s is vitally important.
How long should a 1:1 be?
This will be dependent on what you decide to cover each 1:1. It could be a quick 15-minute check-in or a 60-minute deep dive.
Preparing some talking points to cover in the 1:1 will enable you to be more efficient, if you're limited for time.
What happens if I miss a 1:1?
If you've missed a 1:1, don't worry. Simply Update booking to a time you can make in the future.
Set a Repeating series for your 1:1 bookings so that you don't have to remember to book them in each time.
Make sure to always click Begin 1:1 to get access to additional features and ensure the 1:1 is logged.
